Changing or renouncing node citizenship has a cooldown of two weeks.[1][2][3][4][5]

- Players renounce their citizenship at their node's town hall.[1]
- Players that renounce their citizenship during a node siege declaration period may incur penalties.[6]
- Players lose their node citizenship after their node is destroyed in a node siege will gain a refugee status.[1][4][7]
- Refugees have no cooldown for joining a new node and may get reductions in citizenship dues and other node costs.[8][1]
